Taking The Initiative

Because the changing of combinations in Team Racing is so dynamic, seizing the initiative to capitalize on weak combinations is critical.  By simply taking the initiative and affecting a Mark Trap or a passback, a team can change from a losing or weak winning combination into a solid combination which is difficult for the opposing team to break through.  If there is an opportunity to convert to a solid combination… Do it!

When Team Racing, always ask yourself the following questions:
    1.  What combination are we in?
    2.  What combinations are trying to achieve?

The above questions are strategy.  Derived tactical questions based on the above strategy and  to be considered throughout the race course are:
    A.  What is the immediately close opponent going to do to me?
    B.  What am I going to do to the immediately close opponent?

Anticipate and seize the initiative to take advantage of opportune situations.
