Hoyt-Jolley Fund
In late 1996, Bill Jolley, an F-31 sailor from Niceville, Florida, expressed a desire to support multihull sailing through US SAILING. After a few discussions regarding the established programs that need funding, he decided to help the Youth Worlds and the Multihull Championship (Alter Cup). Through the Hoyt-Jolley Foundation, he donated funding to the Youth Worlds and the 1997 Multihull Championship. The Foundation also provided the sum of $32,000 to establish the Hoyt-Jolley Multihull Fund, a restricted fund to provide perpetual funding to the Multihull Championship.
Although this is a very generous donation, it is not enough to adequately fund the Championship events. All donations to the Fund are totally tax deductible, and the Multihull Council is confident that the fund will continue to grow with the help of multihull sailors everywhere.
If you would like to help fund Alter Cup and youth championship competitions, please make your check payable to US SAILING, stipulating the money is to be applied to the Hoyt-Jolley Multihull Fund. In order that the Multihull Council can monitor donations, mail your check to: Darline Hobock, 5373 E. 27th St., Tulsa, OK 74114, who will record the contributions and forward them on to US SAILING.
