BONUS! Attendees will receive:
Gary Jobson's One-Design DVD
Dave Perry's Understanding the Racing Rules of Sailing and Winning in One-Designs
Stuart Walker's new book, The Code of Competition. “Stuart Walker is a champion sailor and physician. His observations about the psychology of sports apply to all competition, as long as people are involved! This book has lots of great quotes about mental conditioning and the psychological burden of winning from famous athletes in various sports.”
| SKIN CANCER AWARENESS: A dermascan machine will be available for any participant that would like to check out accumulated skin damage on their face. It’s nicknamed the “Oh-my-God” machine because that’s generally what people say when they stick their head in. |
An Idea for Class Officers & Fleet Captains: Encourage your members to attend the One-Design Sailing Symposium by offering travel stipends. Offer to pay the registration fee in exchange for writing an article in the class newsletter. A small grant can go a long way toward building your numbers!
